Yukon Ranger 5x42 is part of the Ranger series which consists of completely different night vision scopes than those of the first generation night vision of Yukon (like Tracker or the NVMT series). The Ranger series isa digital night vision series which offers a very sharp and contrast-rich image. The big difference is that the infrared emitter uses a remote frequency of the infrared spectrum (i.e. 940nm). The ranger is virtually invisible and the intensity of the beam can be adjusted. In addition, the ranger can work completely independently. The Yukon Ranger 5x42 works on 6 AA batteries but als has o a connector for external power supply.

LCD screen
One top of the night vision is a small wheel to regulate the brightness of the LCD display. In addition, the Ranger has a video connection, so you can connect it to a TV, for example. Thus, for example, the images can be viewed in a totally different location from where the night vision actually is! For continuous distance observing, we recommend to fix the night vision on a standard photo tripod. The Ranger is available in the following versions:

About the Ranger 5x42
The Ranger 5x42 has a magnification of 5x with a lens diameter of 42mm. The big difference between the Ranger 5x42 and Ranger 5x42 Pro is that the PRO version uses a so-called "Sum Light" technology which has a much more sensitive CCD plate, making the Pro able to distinguish objects up to 600m while the normal version is able to do this up to 250m!

Two IR Illuminators: suitable for normal light conditions and total darkness
The Ranger series is equipped with two infrared beams, the first beam is always on and is able to view objects at normal to small distance in normal darkness (1/4 moon light). The second beam has a very high intensity and is suitable for observing objects at larger distance, even in total darkness. You can adjust the intensity of the second beam yourself.

Suitable for connection to the mains and cigarette socket
Unlike the NVMT and Tracker series, the Yukon Ranger 5x42 is equipped with a connection for an external power supply, making this night vision capable of operating at a distance and for prolonged periods. The cigarette plug of the car as well as the usual mains may be used as external power supply. In addition, the night vision is able to simply operate with AA batteries.

Optics and Magnification: fully multi-coated and high magnification
All rangers have a magnification of 5x and the lenses are fully multi-coated, making the light output very good. In addition, full use is made of the residual light that may still be present at night.

Brightness: can be adjusted
All Yukon Rangers are equipped with a wheel to adjust the intensity of the image on the integrated LCD screen. With very little or no light one can choose to use the full intensity, while with little or a lot of light the brightness of the LCD screen may be adjusted.

Video recording: use the night vision stationary or remote
The Yukon Ranger is equipped with a video output, enabling the images to be viewed directly on a TV / monitor. In addition, the viewer can also be used with this functionality at locations were direct observation is impossible. This allows you to view the images remotely, or in an entirely different location!

Accessories for the Yukon Ranger: Yukon Mobile Player / Recorder
With the optional Yukon Mobile Player images can be stored and viewed later. The Yukon Mobile Player has a 2.0 inch TFT display and comes with cables you can use to send video clips and photos to your PC for editing. The Mobile Player has a built-in battery (Lithium 800 mAh) and has room for a 2GB SD card (not included). The resolution of the screen is 640x480 pixels.
