Twist up eyecups: perfect for eyeglass wearers
The Discovery series features twist up eyecups.

Fully extended, you will not suffer disturbing sidelight, wind or watery eyes. Half unfolded they are useful for everyday use. When the cups are completely folded down they are ideal for eyeglass wearers.

Softgrips: "put" your thumbs in the binoculars

The binoculars have recesses to lay your thumbs to rest where necessary. This light and comfortable posture ensures that pressure points are reduced, which you will notice during longer observation periods.

High definition XP optics

The High Definition Optics developed by Steiner provide crystal-clear images in all weather conditions. These technical developments ensure that even in low light the contours will always be clearly visible. The glass is made of fluorite giving you the sharpest image. The prisms are phase-coated with a coating which yields a 99% light transmission.

Fast-Close-Focus

The Steiner Fast-Close-Focus System allows you to observe your surroundings in great detail from 2m. This has great advantages for observing birds, butterflies and insects. Even with gloves on these binoculars are easy and quick to focus. The use of special sealing techniques ensures that the binoculars are well-protected against the ingress of moisture, dirt and dust, even in bad weather.

The Steiner Discovery is equipped with a rangefinder so you can easily focus . The exact distance is projected in the binoculars so you can easily read it.

Fully water, dust and dirt proof because of nitrogen filling

The Discovery is filled with nitrogen making it completely water and dust proof. On the inside of the binoculars condensation will never occur, which does happen with many cheaper binoculars. The Steiner Discovery 8x44 can be used at temperatures between -40° and 80°C.

Steiner Nano Protection

The paper-thin Nano coating Steiner put on the lenses provides protection against water and dust ensuring it will give peak performance under the most extreme weather conditions.

NBR formula/armouring: great for extreme temperatures and weather conditions

Rough weather affects you and your binoculars. The NBR-Longlife rubber casing makes the Discovery resistant to any circumstances. Not only is the durable NBR extremely robust, it also gives you a very good grip. In addition, it is resistant to oil, acid, salt water.

Accessories

All Steiner binoculars are equipped with a storage bag. For each type of Steiner binoculars a special bag has been designed to be comfortably worn over the shoulder. The bag is made of very hard, moisture and dirt resistant material. The standard equipment for all Steiner binoculars includes a rain cover, lens cap, carrying strap. The carrying strap consists of several individually adjustable straps. Furthermore, these straps are robust, waterproof and dirt resistant.

In addition, the Steiner Discovery 8x44 binoculars have a 30-year warranty.
