Konus Event 8x42: Wide Angle
This Konus Event 8x42 WA has fully multi-coated optics and is made of BAK-4 glass. This offers you a clear, true colour image and with the gas filling the viewer is completely waterproof. It is easy to carry and performs very well in all weather conditions. The Konus Event 8x42 is a rugged binocular with a "Wide Angle" and this means that the image field (the width that you see when you look around the viewer) is wider than other binoculars made with the same specifications. The wider the FOV the more you see without having to move your head from left to right.

Outdoor viewer
Most binoculars have a magnification of 8x or 10x and a lens diameter of 42 mm. This is because these specifcations offer an exit pupil (the diameter of the light beam that is projected onto your pupil) of 5.4mm. A human pupil has a maximum diameter of 7mm and with an exit pupil of 5.4 mm there is thus no light lost. This way, you get the most out of your binoculars. The Konus Event 8x42 WA is technically perfect for bird watching, sports events, concerts and all your outdoor adventures.

Dioptre adjustment
The dioptre setting on the right eyepiece allows you to adjust the sharpness variation to suit your own needs. The handy "Twist up" eyepieces on the Konus Event make the viewer excellent for eyeglass wearers.
