Not only do the Konus Emperor 8x42 binoculars have a refined design, they also are of excellent quality. The viewer has a dark green rubber armouring for a firm grip and due to its gas filling and BaK-4 glass it is completely waterproof. However, the optics of the viewers in the Konus Emperor series are the most impressive feature. The prisms are fitted with phase coating for crisp, detailed images and the extra large objective lenses provide even more viewing pleasure. The Konus Emperor 8x42 has a relatively wide range of 2.5m to infinity and is easy to connect to a tripod for a stable image. This 8x42 model is also excellent for observations in twilight areas.
