Kowa Optimed is a part of the Electronics and Optics Division of Kowa Company Ltd. This company was established back in 1984. Kowa are one of the biggest private companies in Japan. The Kowa Electronics and Optics division was established in 1946. Kowa Spotting Scopes
Kowa spotting scopes were first produced in 1952 by the Electronics & Optics division of Kowa. They were initially developed as scopes for examining targets in shooting matches and were used officially in the 1964 Olympics Games. They were subsequently discovered by birdwatchers and became incredibly popular throughout the world. Kowa spotting scopes are favoured by many as it is a well-known fact that the quality of these scopes lies in 50 years of production and development.
