The ATN OTS-15 B & W thermal imaging night vision is the cream of the crop among the professional night vision devices. In addition to being lightweight, the viewer is also very compact. The ATN OTS-15 can be used at temperatures from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius. The viewer is able to recognise people and objects from 6 to 750m away.

Technical Features
This Thermal viewer comes with some very handy features. For example, it has a standard magnification of 6x; however, with the digital zoom it is possible to reach a magnification of 12 times. The focus can be set manually with user-friendly controls at the side of the camera. The viewer is internally equipped with an energy-efficient OLED display. The thermal sensitivity has a maximum deviation of less than 0.1 degrees Celsius.

What is thermal imaging?
With thermal imaging (thermography), it is possible to map temperature and temperature differences. To achieve this, two techniques are combined: infrared technique and wavelength detection technique. The combined use of these techniques makes sure the thermal view is displayed. The supplied image is sometimes also called a thermogram; it is a visual representation of the currently prevailing temperatures. In general, a colour scale is displayed where a dark colour is a cold temperature and a lighter colour a warmer temperature.

Applications
Thermal imaging viewers are often used in the security sector, in military applications, for fire prevention but also for medical purposes, such as breast cancer and pregnancy determination. It is a technique that is applied in many ways but it is especially appropriate for public safety.

Video
The viewer is provided with an analog video output. With this output you can connect the ATN OTS15 to a television set or other monitor with the PAL/NTSC connector. Thus, the viewer can also be used as permanent security camera. The cables for connection to the monitor are delivered in the kit.
