ATN Night Storm 1+
ATN Night Storm 1+ is part of the ATN Storm Series, which is a very popular series in the world of night viewers. This generation 1+ is waterproof and has a 1.5× magnification. The optics are of exceptional quality: ATN uses high-quality glass for its front lenses, which consists of at least six elements. All optics are multilayer-coated and ensure maximum light output.

Electron Tube
The main element of night-vision viewers is the Image Intensifier Tube (electron tube). The available light is collected and amplified through an electronic and physical process in the electron tube. ATN builds its own power supply for these tubes. The materials used for the tube meet the highest criteria. The ATN night viewers perform well under virtually all weather conditions.

Infra red light
An additional feature of this night vision is the infra-red light or beam; if you enter a completely dark room where there is absolutely no ambient light, you can activate this built-in beamer. This beam illuminates the room with IR light, the night vision catches this back and puts it into an image.

Ergonomic design
The viewer is ergonomically designed and therefore fits perfectly in your hand. It has incisions to fit your right hand and fingers and because of its light weight and compact design, it takes no effort to hold the viewer for a longer time.

Accessories
The (optional) Camera Adapter allows the residual light amplifier to be connected to your digital camera or camcorder (35mm). This way, you can even shoot in the dark. Exciting, right? Another accessory is the IR-450: this external IR beam can be easily mounted onto the night vision. Your vision will thus be two to three times better in total darkness.

Technology
ATN is one of the largest manufacturers of night vision goggles in the world and has a wide range of goggles, monoculars, binoculars and rifle scopes. With its unique light amplifiers and infrared technology, ATN have brought three generations of night vision goggles on the market, and each of these generations uses a unique type of image intensifier tube:

• The first generation is currently the most popular type. It reinforces the incoming light a few thousand times so you can observe clearly in the dark. These give viewers a clear and sharp image at an affordable price.
  
• The second generation is more often used for professional purposes. The big difference with the first generation is the addition of a micro-channel plate (MPC) which serves as an electron amplifier resulting in a brighter image. However, the price of these night vision goggles is many times higher than that of the first generation.
• The CGT Generation is even more advanced than the second generation tubes. These tubes are more sensitive and have a higher resolution. These features deliver an exceptionally sharp image with exceptional clarity.
• The third generation These night-vision goggles uniquely combine an extra light-sensitive layer of gallium arsenide with a layer that blocks ions, increasing the lifetime of the image intensifier tube.
