The ATN Night Shadow 2+ is part of the ATN Night Shadow Night vision goggles of the second generation which are excellent in their price range and ensure excellent performance. What distinguishes these viewers from the first generation night vision goggles is the higher resolution which guarantees a brighter and sharper image. Also, these night viewers offer a magnification of 5x, are resistant to water and fog and automatically adjust to bright light. The optics are of exceptional quality: ATN uses the best quality glass for its front lenses, consisting of at least six elements. All optics are multilayer-coated and ensure maximum light output. Second generation viewers also have a very robust housing that is comfortable to hold and easy to operate.

Smart technology
The ATN Night Shadow Series features the so-calledSmart technology. This means that these viewers automatically measure the distance and focus on that (proximity sensor). With an easy-to-use digital control panel you can set it to your specific needs and the viewer automatically switches off when not in use anymore. What makes this viewer special is the adjustable infrared beam. When you enter a completely dark room where there is absolutely no ambient light, you can enable this built-in beamer. The beam illuminates the room with IR light, the night vision catches this back and puts it into an image.

The Night Shadow is available in three models:

• Night Shadow - 2I: Generation 2+ with resolution 40-45 lp/mm
• Night Shadow-2IA: Generation 2+ with resolution of 40-48 lp/mm
  
• Night Shadow-CGTI: Generation 2+/CGT with resolution of 45-54 lp/mm
  
  
• All three models are delivered with included: manual, carrying case, lens cap, two lithium batteries, lens cloth and lanyard

• The first generationis currently the most popular type. It reinforces the incoming light a few thousand times so you can clearly observe in the dark. These viewers offer a clear and sharp image at a low price.
  
• The second generationis more often used for professional purposes. The big difference with the first generation is the addition of a micro-channel plate (MPC) which serves as an electron amplifier resulting in a brighter image. However, the price of these night vision goggles is also many times higher than that of the first generation.
• The third generationThese night-vision goggles uniquely combine an extra light sensitive layer of gallium arsenide with a layer that blocks ions, considerably increasing the lifetime of the image intensifier tube.
