ATN Night Arrow6 CGTI
With the ATN Night Arrow6 CGTI ATN have delivered a magnificent product, especially for the discerning marksman or cunning hunter. The viewer provides you with excellent observation, spotting and target performance so you will hardly ever miss a target. Automatic Brightness Control (ABC) adjusts the brightness of the image automatically so the viewer offers the best picture quality in all lighting conditions. ABC also protects light-sensitive parts in the tube against overexposure. If the visor of the ATN Night Arrow6 CGTI is extremely exposed, then the viewer will be automatically turned off to prevent damage to the system. Compared with the ATN Night Arrow 6-2IA this visor has, due to the CGTI technology, a higher resolution and consequently a clearer and sharper image. This incredible ATN viewer has a sixfold magnification and a large lens diameter, especially suitable for targeting over long distances.
ATN series
The ATN Night Arrow is a series consisting of several models in different price ranges. Equipped with the best optical instruments, tubes and excellent performance, this series is one of the best available on the commercial market. The viewers are battery-powered. A full battery lasts up to 30 hours and, using the Low Battery Indicator, the viewer warns you when it is time to change the battery. This model has a lens combination which magnifies the image 6x but it is also available in a 2x zoom and 4x zoom version.
Top generation
In a night vision the image intensification tube is the heart and this is no different for the ATN Night Arrow 4-CGTI. The difference between a Gen 2+ and a Gen CTGI unit lies in the the type of micro-channel plate (MCP) that is used. The MCP works as an electron amplifier and is placed directly behind the photocathode. A photocathode is a negatively charged electrode in a night vision and has a photosensitive coating. From the moment light strikes it, the absorbed energy generates an emission of electrons. This process is caused by a photoelectric effect. Simply put, the MCP gives the electrons an extra push so that the second generation night vision provides a brighter and sharper image. Generation CTGI is a refinement of the Gen 2+ and uses compact 18mm Multi-Alkali MCP Image Intensifier. This improvement has resulted in an exceptionally clear and bright picture.

Click Value or MOA
The vertical height adjustment ensures that the target in the viewer coincides with the spot where the bullet strikes. The flight of the bullet is affected by gravity in an arc orbit effect, the rifle scope follows a straight line. To compensate for this effect, the viewer has a turning wheel for adjusting the height. Usually, the viewer is set to a certain distance, e.g. 25m. The adjustment wheel goes with clicks, so the adjustment per click is indicated as click value. The movement of the target point caused by one click of the dial is expressed in minutes (of degrees). A minute is 1/60th of a degree. In English this is called "Minute of Angle" or MOA. On a viewer it is often indicated what one click means for that specific model: 1/4 MOA, 1/8 MOA, so 1/240th or 1/480th of a degree.
Example
The distance to your goal is the radius of a vertical circle. With a distance of 10m, the circumference of a circle is 628m (2 x pi x r). One degree displacement is 628:360 = 1.74m, one minute is 1.74:60 = 0.029m or 2.9cm. Divide this number by the amount of MOA, e.g. 1/4, and you have the vertical displacement of the target per click.
